Privacy

Placeholder. Before going live, a complete privacy policy must be published here. The site currently processes: username and password (only as a hash) for accounts, without an email address, check results, reading progress, ratings, reports on chapters and the default language, as well as technically necessary cookies for login, language and check results. No trackers and no external fonts are loaded. The site also counts anonymously how often pages and chapters are viewed and how far they are read: only as daily counters, without cookies, without IP addresses and without any link to an account. If you enable “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” in your browser, you are not counted. The satisfaction question in the account is stored without any link to the account. Accounts can also optionally store a weekly wellbeing value (0 to 10). It is only visible to the person themselves and is deleted together with the account. The following are also counted anonymously: which keywords and topic areas are filtered, how long chapters are actively read, how often sources are clicked, the distribution of check results by topic area, and new and deleted accounts. Those who agree in their account contribute their weekly value anonymously to a weekly average. Suggestions from the community are stored with the account and published only after review, without the username. Shared experiences with suggestions appear publicly only in summary form. Both are deleted together with the account. For offline reading, the browser stores the site's program files and, only on request, individual chapters on the device. The server does not learn which chapters are saved. Notes on the sheet for the doctor's appointment are not stored.
