About the project
Saving The Gut – Together wants to help people understand their gut health. We do not only explain what many people already know, but also topics such as opportunistic pathogens, bacteriophages or bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine.
Why “Together”?
Gut problems are often long-lasting, and the path to your own solution leads through many details. Nobody has to walk it alone. The site is for everyone who wants to understand their gut better, with or without symptoms.
Its further development is a shared effort too: you rate chapters, report mistakes and outdated passages and suggest new topics. Every report is reviewed, and if it is correct, the chapter is updated.
How the content is created
The research for the chapters is done by Claude, an AI assistant, based on current studies and guidelines. The chapters have not been approved by experts. That is why readers show how good a chapter is: with an account you rate whether it is helpful and easy to understand, offers something new, matches your understanding and is correct and up to date. Everyone can see the averages. You can also report errors and outdated passages. The content does not replace medical advice.
How reliable is the knowledge?
Every chapter and every tip has a trust score from 1 to 5. It shows how well a statement is supported: from experimental, meaning mainly lab and animal studies, to established, meaning recommendations in medical guidelines. Level 2 (“Plausible”) stands for first small studies and for basics that are not in dispute but were never tested for symptoms — movement, sleep or meal pauses, for instance. So a low score does not mean something does not work; it means there are few studies on it. Especially for niche topics such as bacteriophages, the research is often still young. We say so openly.
Does this apply in my country?
What is approved, available without prescription or reimbursed differs from country to country. We deliberately phrase such passages in general terms. Ask your doctor or pharmacist what applies to you in your country.
What your account stores
Only your progress, your check results, your ratings, your reports and your default language. You do not need an account to use the site.
